Qualified as racist, misogynist, crazy, not qualified, incestuous, smooth talker, vulgar, white supremacist. Given his reputation we wouldn’t give him even just a little shred of credit . But Donald trump dis anyway win the US presidential election of 2016. How come ? How despite everything, did he won access to the white house ?
My guesses are that his good businessman intuitions made him come up with a very smart marketing strategy :
Beyond his presidential campaign he adopted other originals strategies. As known He’s persona isn’t everyone’s first choices he’s indeed the most polarizing ever. He obviously won a lot of vote throughout his good use of the social and digital media . Targeting his enemies such as OBAMA, CLINTON… by using the famous tweet, his twitter account has around 8.15 million followers. By being outraging he actually brought attention to him and this strategy has proven not to be a campaign killer.
An other strategy that has proven trump right is his predominant marketing of fear, that hasn’t escape my sharp eye.
His speeches are full of manipulation using fear and hate as a weapon. Those two feeling are way easier to transmit to electors then hope or braveness. If not ethical this is a winning strategy, when you want to show leadership you just need to press into someone’s weaknesses.
What has shown this presidential election is that controversy might actually be the key to the crown .
